My time of anxious parenting has started. I put Solomon in his walker and he cruised through the house fascinated by everything. He's progressing nicely. Dada means everything right now. Before he used the walker for walking he decided the rubber feet on it were lovely teething spots. I washed the feet first. He loves the baby einstein dvds especially the signing one and the baby movement one. He's not in the copy stage yet but he's paying attention. I love the fact that everything is a toy. He's learning about shapes and colors just by playing with ordinary objects. His favorite toys so far are a nintendo controler and a dead cordless phone. We got some simple counting books and doctor seus. I do wonder though if being isolated the way we are is slowing him down. I'm not worried the way I was before. He's trying in his own way to learn about his world. My sense is that once we move he will flourish. He's decided that scooting rolling and pulling up are the best ways to get around. I'll miss this. He says mama dada and hi. There's a future comic book and computer geek in the making. How are everyone elses tots doing? If yours are bigger what do you miss most about them being little? Tiffany
We moved to Sacramento, and ever since then, we've been getting out more and the kids love it! But for me, I miss it when they're new and tiny and oh-so-soft and laying them on my chest to sleep and having their soft warm little heads nestled up in my neck so I can turn and give them smooches... and their teeny tiny little hands that are so soft and delicate. Nathaniel had these looong fingers when he was a newborn and he love to suck on them. So adorable. Hannah had the most adorably soft head when she was born...Oh! and their nice, clean, butts with the lotion all over them, so squeezable!
